Did you paint them yourself? I lived in Colorado Springs for a few summers back in the late 90's.

 

Yes, Brian I do almost everything myself I can't afford to keep having to pay people but in this case it's also part of my profession I did a little write up in my build. Color match isn't perfect which I never expected it to be

 

Looks great. I've been thinking about doing my wheels in a dark bronze.

 

Do it! They would look great on the Darth Vader Edition Tacoma

 

Lowest setting (0) with 884s got me 3 inches, but I'm pretty stock and I didn't touch the rear suspension yet. I'm gonna measure today and see if it settled any more, I'll let you know.

 

They make it but remember If you just scuff your black wkeels and paint over the black ( which there's absolutely nothing wrong with) it will darken whatever color you spray over it. Hence why the wheels came out just a tint darker than the body but it was enough of a chore to sand and paint with one arm if I'd wanted closer I should have stripped to bare aluminum and primed with a white or light grey nut i just didn't have it in me to sand them again

 

And I was at Ft Caeson from '85- '87

Mine with 887s settled over an inch to sit right at 3".

Thanks sir I knew I'd like the white even id it really wasn't originally my idea. It was getting it to match that was my concern it's not perfect but it's close and all done with aerosols so if I bang them up in rocks I can touch up. Now I need more paint to do the matching spare.

 

how long have you had your 887's on the truck?
ive had mine on for about a month maybe closer to 2 months and haven't had any change in height. i was hoping it'd settle but im not sure how long the settling takes

 

About 6 weeks. 3" is alot of lift for 884s. You sure they didn't send you something else?

 

i think you got me mixed with the other guy you we talking with. i have 887's
