Awesome! thanks for the info man! if it's still available, I'm going to go check it out.

whether I get a diesel, or a 2nd gen, I want to do the same.... let me know when you guys do yours, I want to be there to watch / learn since I'll be doing it either way

I don't remember issues with paint, but maybe it was an isolated thing. I don't remember ever getting anything for my 2010. The chirping blower motor is an easy fix. Less than $100 at rock auto if I remember correctly, and all you gotta do is pop the glove box out and unscrew a few screws, pull the connector and plug the new one in.

Yea man should be a similar process, only thing I wouldn't know with the retro is what light upgrades you might want to get for a diesel.

Just buy mine. Although there is a guy in PA who may be interested, depending on when I can get my finances situated and figure out what I can afford.
Also, still no word from Amazon when your replacement digitizer/screen will ship. Once I get it, it will be a fast install. The phone is already apart so I just need to reconnect the cables and stuff. Only negatives I saw were some people complained that their fingerprint reader on the home button (I suppose thats where it is?) didn't work anymore.

it's pretty much the exact projectors.... either the Nilight ones from Amazon or the Morimoto minis.... and you just lock them down with the post in the back....

I'm going to order a set of black housing lights so I'm not using my current headlights

no worries on the phone man... it'll get done soon enough...

but if I pick this 2nd gen up.... when you go to trade your truck in, if you want to swap (+ a solid amount of cash on my end) bumpers, sliders, suspension etc... let me know :)

Are these tacos the same color wise? If so, man that would really help all parties involved if you got that taco.

Anyone else need to do any kind of oil change or other fluid change (transfer case, diffs, etc) sometime soon? I plan on doing my transfer case and front diff within the next few weeks and thought maybe we could get all lubed up together...

Ah yea I didn't notice that...sounds like you got a solid trade/back to stock platform there. I say check it out if you want to continue being in a taco.

Are you in between on both or are you leaning more towards the diesel?

Yeah you're right. I didn't even notice. That could work.
Good idea. If I trade in, I would want to remove as much as possible since the dealer would likely rape me on trade in value. Hell, I wouldn't be opposed to even taking off the SC and selling it. Only problem is I would need to buy an ECU since mine has the magnuson flash for SC.

Dude what if you could swap the SC onto that second gen??? Talk about an upgrade!
