Clever. But I wish he had shown exactly how he secured the fan to the top of the cooler.

I've got a shell on mine, and I could plug it directly into the AC outlet.

"Quit standing there taking pictures. Let's go!"

Nice rims. Haven't seen those on a second gen. They look good. I picked up a near-new set with about 1200 miles on them for $200. Thought that was a steal considering their condition.

Ok, I realize it isn't a dog, but way cool anyhow. Last night I got to watch a large Green Turtle (Mexicans call them Blancos) dig a nest and lay her eggs. The height of turtle season is starting, so if you are in a coastal area where they nest be careful and steer clear of their nests, and please don't disturb the turtles or their hatchlings when they come out. For those wondering I was accompanying a volunteer (a local sanctioned and trained by the Federal organization responsible for turtles), and we were with the local Turtugera, a trained biologist who wanders the beach at night and marks the and catalogues nest locations. So far, on this small section of about 1/3mile of beach there are 34 nests and the season is just beginning. This female was in the process of laying when the picture was taken, and a red light was used as white lights tend to confuse and startle them.

and just to keep on topic, here's a shot of our furry one and the 12 year old rescue we picked up, having a play date with the great Dane to the left

I just looked into them. Nice looking dogs, especially in that color.

But, I am generally very critical of boutique dog breeders. They can be very scummy, greedy, selfish, unethical, immoral human beings. I really hope your pup has a wonderful and healthy life.

Not quite sure how to take that due to the lack of punctuation.

I was talking about breeders, not you.

Same thought here, and went through this exercise this weekend but without the ice cooler. Which after seeing the results will not be doing it with or without the ice cooler in the summer. Being in Mn. we are now entering that 3-4 month period of piss poor sledding.

Barcelona red with matching fiberglass ARE MX topper and windoors with sliding windows on both sides. Have a half platform in the bed that I sleep under in the fall and winter sometimes and put the dog crate on top of it.

Picked up a low 35W draw Honeywell HT-900 fan that has high reviews on Amazon. Because the sliding windows allow water to enter the bed I mounted the fan under the platform to protect it from water and placed the double door Ruff Tough crate in line which allows max. airflow.

    fanbed.jpg

    fancrate.jpg

Placed remote read grilling\smoking unit probe in the top front of the crate. Furthest from the fan and high up, but still accurate reading and realistic.

    probe.jpg

    Outside crate

    probeOutside.jpg

630 AM typical summer morning all is well

    59InAndOut.jpg

1030 AM full sun is hitting the crate. 81* outside air temp. And inside the crate 106*

    106 start.jpg

With the fan on dropped it to 99*-100* But that was as low as it got.

    100 fan.jpg

Early afternoon got up to 86* outside and 117* inside the crate

    117In86Out.jpg

With fan on dropped to 109*. Stacked 2 frozen freezer packs in front of the fan and they sat about 2" above the rear door. And temps went up 2* to 111* all they did was block air flow.

Really was an eye opener for me and now for early hunting season will keep the thermometers in the back to monitor better. Although the dogs ride in the cab with me, and will continue to do so now.

Went through all of this because this week I'm making a trip to pick up a year and a half old Toller that isn't trained for riding on the dog bench yet. So last night ordered a restraining latch system and harness for him so he can ride on the dog platform too.

My pup, Bale. We found him in a hay field on our property at 4lbs. Vet said he was 8 weeks old but he was scrawny. That was a year ago and now he is a happy, healthy, super sweet member of our family. He shows great concern for our other pets and comes rushing if they make any unhappy sounds.

Bale and Rocket, my 7 year old unknown mix. SPCA said he was Jack Russell/Chihuahua but he is 35 lbs (hes a chunk) so I don't know what he is. I picked him up at 8 weeks. Spoiled rotten. I call him my city dog. Bale is the country dog. Spends his day outside playing with neighbor dogs on the farm. Bale steals socks.

    Bale when I found him.

    A few months old
