Also, can't believe I waited so long to get UCAs after lifting. Drivability is 1000 times better. Granted I had a bad bushing or ball joint too, but tracking is so much nicer with them. I know everyone says less than 2-2.5" your alignment is fine. I used to think so too and while you can get it in spec it's night and day with these.

Exactly. I usually spray it until it stalls and call it good. Also helps keep the carb from getting gummed up by filling it with oil.

Spray it while it's running. Either until it smokes or...

Or just run Startron mixed into the fuel year round and not do anything for the storage season. :notsure:

I have no faith in Star-tron. When I worked at a parts store we had jars with nails in them, filled with ethanol gasoline (and maybe 1 oz of water? I don't remember) and the recommended dose of star-tron, marine grade stabil, regular stabil, heet, and k100. The marine grade stabil and the k100 had nails that looked like new and fuel that hadn't separated. All of the others had separated, and their nails were rusted to shit. Maybe they've changed their formula since then (this was 2009-ish), but... :notsure:

Interesting. I was using K100 for a while and liked it, but I've actually had fewer carb issues with Startron than I did with K100. Everyone has their methods and power to them as long as they work!

Yeah, if it's working for you then by all means stick with the Startron. I just don't trust it, personally. :notsure:

I don't use anything, and I think that says something since I snowmobile with 13k dollar sleds that only are used 12-16 weeks of the year. Also motorcycle which sits another 4 months of the year. All I do with my machines is fill the tank to the brim for storage and then before I go to use it the following season I use my transfer tank to move all that fuel to the truck and I fill with fresh. I never seem to have a problem, but those machines are all fuel injected. My boats never have a problem either, but the little one is premix with 2 stroke oil which all has it's own stabilizer and the big boat- well it's a 1993 Volvo engine, it would probably run on 100% corn whiskey anyway so who cares. It's got one huge, single bbl Solex carb so I never worry about ethanol in it. Here in central NH we have had ethanol in our gas for more than 15 years and it's never caused me one single bit of grief- other than the people freaking me out about it when it first came out. Not even my 1983 Suzuki motorcycle had a problem when ethanol first started hitting the pumps.

As far as fogging, I only fog my etec powered sled, and that's only because it does it itself. It's got a storage setting, just warm it up to operating temp, push the button and it will fog until it stalls.

every year I have an issue with my snow blower and then in the spring with my ridding lawn mower. I find that carb cleaner will help get it started and after messing with it for a while, eventually they run. Until next season.

No more small equipment issues since I started using the Lucas ethanol treatment in my gas cans (mainly for the 4 strtoke stuff--the 2 strokes get the no ethanol premix that you can buy in the store)

Man, I just mowed for the first time yesterday, it had a bunch of old gas in it, the old Briggs and Stratton fired up up first pull! It sat uncovered outside all winter too! Snowblower does the same every year as well. Maybe it's just me. No luck with the ladies anymore, I guess I'll take it where I can.

probably, I have never been good at maintaining that stuff. Always end up getting it going when its needed, one of these days I will have the time/remember the whole preventive thing.

Damn, you're lucky! Also, fuel injection certainly helps, all my toys and small engines have carbs. I had a lot of carb issues with my sport bikes until I started using treatment. Those were a PITA also, 4 carbs so more than I would want to get into for a tear down. That's why I finally went to a single cylinder, single carb. Simple maintenance and repair.

OMG, I know about that. I jetted my 81 GS1100E which had a rack of 4 continuous velocity Mikuni carbs. Holy shit, what an absolute nightmare.

I hate it too but I gotta cut thru that hell zone in the truck twice a week, let me tell ya about a pain in the ass being 62.5 feet long. Taking the T in and going to bars and shows is fun just not driving in it. Riding in it scares me crazy

The 5 gal drum of Renegade 96 octane is excellent no additives, ethonol. You can get it in leaded and un leaded, pretty sure the leaded isn't true leaded fuel. I run it in all my small engines. $48 for the 5gals at Dennis K Burke
