Ok fellas, now I am in a pickle. I need to upgrade my suspension. Go figure, so I am stuck in a OME with Dakar setup or a Toyotec with a Dakar Pack to go with it? What would you guys do? And the OME is not the newest model should be the 886m I believe. I am wanting a 3'' lift. And if I need to purchase UCA I will, but from my research with OME you don't not need too. So lead me to the right path fellas. I have about 2K to spend, any Ideas?

    Hey Welder NJDB's.

What consumables and miscellaneous equipment do I need for my new Hobart 140 MIG/Flux Core Welder?

I have never welded a thing in my life.

I've been trying to find a welding class that will fit my busy work/family schedule. No joy.

So I'm gonna try to learn the hands-on way. With some guidance from you guys.

Needs recommendations based on your experience, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Help a noob out. I need to weld a few things.

First... find some scrap metal. Then find some wire that you would like to use that fits your needs and then make sure that wire fits your welder. Some wire requires a larger tip... also maybe buy 1 or 2 tips with it...

Then magnets for any sort of angle you need welded a wire brush some welding pliers. A nice welding hood... might I suggest for you an auto dark hood as you will be able to see before you start welding... the fixed glass ones are nice but you have to lift and lower the mask to see before and after you are done running said bead.

I don't weld much at all and kinda suck at it lol but I would highly recommend either wire wheels for a drill or for an angle grinder, cheap welding jacket, and magnets and clamps, and if you don't already have an angle grinder id consider getting one lol

    Thanks guys.

I'll get the angle magnets, gloves, pliers, welding apron/jacket at HF.

Already have angle grinders, drill wire wheels and wire brushes.

Anyone have a good recommendation for high quality brand/model of welding hood outside of Harbor Freight?

Also, anyone have a good source for welding wire and other consumables? Local or online.
I'll probably buy the 10# spools.
