    I just had the exact same problem on the front two holes on the driver side when I cut holes in the foam tape covers over the factory holes to install an OEM roof rack. I stopped by the dealership and they drilled out the overlap piece and retapped the holes without a problem free of charge under warranty and it's as good as new. I was able to install the roof rack once they did that. They definitely agreed it was a factory miss.
