Didn't get it right the first time though. Had to totally strip it down to the plastic and redo it. Happy with the results though. 3 coats of Dupli-Color Perfect Match (Silver, Black and Clear) did not bother wet sanding the clear.

These little, seemingly easy projects tend to take my weeks.

Beautiful, I'd do mine if I thought I could do half as good as you.

Looks good. I did mine last spring. Also did the fuse box and air intake.

I did mine, the lettering is a bitch. I ended up doing it freehand after I took this. It came out good but there are mistakes I can notice.IMG_20160327_181723891_HDR.jpg

Looks really good , how did you prep the plastic ? Just clean it with a degreaser (simple green) sand it and wipe it with alcohol ? Or some other way ?

You can sand it lightly or scotch Brite it. Wash it, then I wipe it with alcohol. You need to spray it with plastic adhesion promoter then get on to painting it. Finally cover it with a coat or 2 of clear acrylic enamel spray. There's another older thread on the same subject you might search for.

I just washed mine and then wiped it with alcohol and sprayed with Krylon Maxx .

Rent top now has the vinyl letters for the engine covers.

It would appear that way but those were of just the engine cover. I the pic where I have it actually installed, you can see the Red Dot over the "i". It took me awhile and doing it twice....No way in hell I would miss something like that.

    Thanks for the comments though.

Yeah it looks awesome. It's the little things we do to our TACO's that show how much you really care right?

I painted my fuse cover as well. By the time that was all over with.....I was just glad to be done with it.

My little projects, although they may appear simple enough, take me waaaaayyy tooo looong. Mostly because I am afraid of messing something up.
