Hmm. I think that the brackets would have to be shorter. They could be cut to size but i would have to know the measurements, and i would but them by hand.

I have a Bak Revolver X2 tonneau cover. The factory bedrails are lowered with a bracket to accommodate the Bak rails. I believe this lowering of the factory rails is done with other Bak tonneau covers also. There is probably a market for a shorter version. Can you please confirm how long your brackets are. Thanks!UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_6496.jpg

That is weird! Haha. I have not personally seen that, nor do i know anyone that has one that i can measure. Do you mind putting a tape measure to it so i can see how short it needs to be?

From the centre line of the lowered bedrail to the flat ledge on the side of the bedwall = 6 -1/16"

Ok so a little shorter than 6" should be good. What are you trying to mount to these brackets?

Nothing specific to mount yet. Was trying to understand if your brackets would fit as is (how long are they?), or whether they would have to cut and re-drilled by end user, or whether you would be offering shorter ones.

Right now i think that they are about 6.5 - 7.5 inches long. I will have to look to remember. I think that i would be able to cut them down to under 6" and drill new holes, but if there are more people that need them then i should offer a shorter version. I just figured the longer ones would be better so that everything stay below the bed line.

I think that with them being short you would probably only get 1 quick fist per bracket. You should be able to get an ax mounted no problem but a shovel maybe an issue depending on the shovel head size.

Your cab facing rail doesnt look like its being used. You could use the brackets i have now on that rail with no problem. You could mount a high lift there for sure!

I have been slacking on getting photos up. These things are awesome, and don't interfere with my Softopper at all.

what is the width dimension on these? I'd like to potentially get three. 2 for a shovel mount and a stand alone to mount a small fire extinguisher vertically using a 3" Quick fist mount. Those larger mounts have a mounting width of 4.5". Not worried if it hangs over a bit but anyone have the width of these?

youcantseeme That looks like a short box in your pic. Do you have room on the tailgate side of the shovel to mount one more of these? i have a DCSB w a softopper as well. I'd like to mount the shovel as far forward toward the cab as possible hoping to fit one more of these mounts closest to the tailgate to mount a 3.2" dia fire extinguisher vertically. Think it would fit with the softopper clamps and what not?

Shouldn't be a problem, and yes, I have a DCSB. I'll take a better pic for you tomorrow so you can see. I haven't messed around with moving the mounts around too much (as you can tell, I only have the short shovel tied into one quickfist right now).

I only had to unbolt the rear clamp of the softopper to slide the mounting hardware into the track too, it was really easy.

They ~3" wide at the top and bottom. The sides curve in a bit in the middle.

@mcannazz Here's a better photo for you. There's plenty of room to move the mount I have the shovel in forward more (again, I've just been lazy). The rear clamp for the Softopper is hidden behind the black strap that's hanging down to the left of the mount, and you can see where the rail cap is on the left.

@mcannazz I got into some beer last night (only a few... ok a lot) and moved the mounts around. Here is the picture I should have taken for you initially:
