I don't have my kids with me tonight so I have time if you want. I have some original 265/70/16s sitting in my garage if you want to give those a try. Or we can just put my current stuff on jack stands and you can test with my Toyos.

Im in Maricopa right now heading back to town here in about 15 minutes. So it would be about an hour or so before I could be there.

Anybody with a 3rd gen (with flares) wanna do me a solid? Just check how well the very front of your front flares is flush to the front bumper. Like, if you were to give a firm but not crazy pull on the corner/tip could you get it to show a sliver of daylight between or is it rock solid not budging?

I think b/c of the front bumper being more flexible ABS I'm just fretting over nothing... I think I have gotten my leading edges properly secured with 3M tape instead of the stock tabs but I don't have another 3rd gen to look at.

Its pretty tight against the bumper cover. If I remember correctly the last time I took the bumper cover off there are 2 tabs that hold the flare to the bumper cover. The tape starts at the fender. Hope that helps. I can grab another pic if you need.

So it does move slightly if you pull? I'm not talking flapping in the wind, I'm just talking the difference between "hell no, it's not moving one bit" and "yeah it does tweak a little but not much" ... a good example would be go pull on the front edge of your rear fender. The rear does not budge.

    It should be 3 tabs.

What I did was added flares to a truck that didn't come from the factory with them, so I had to trim off the tabs and put 3M tape where the tabs used to be. Just checking to make sure I've got it reasonably sorted.

Thanks for the quick response BTW!:cheers:

No prob! I was out in the garage with the Taco anyhoo. There isn't allot of play there once it's snapped in but I'd think 3m tape should hold just fine
