My c4 sliders finally came last week. Had them powder coated and bolted them up!

    Got some fresh wheels today!

Also came across this lift on Rogue Offroad's website.. anyone have any experience with it yet? I know Rancho has been around a long time and makes some decent stuff, pretty good price for an adjustable coilover and rear shocks.

On Ranchos site it isn't listed for a 3rd gen but Rogue has it listed as compatible. I know most 2nd to 3rd gen suspension parts are compatible and valving shouldn't be an issue if it's adjustable right?

Is there anyway to anticipate a crankshaft position sensor failure that y'all know of?

My truck seems to sputter on acceleration from zero more often then it should. Feel like the loss of power experienced when you lose traction

Yeah I saw some on there but figured I'd try the dealership first since right now they're selling me parts at cost.

The tracks used 3 of the 5 holes! Then 3 rivets. I believe they only have one type. They are vehicle specific. For 16-17 Tacos.

Toyota just issued another recall (no remedy yet) for the crankshaft position Sensor

    Safety Recalls:
    Title
Safety Recall H1H - Interim Notice Certain 2016-2017 Model Year Tacoma Crankshaft Postion Sensor
    Status
    Remedy Not Available
    Description
The V6 engine crankshaft timing rotor in the involved vehicles may have been produced with excessive anti-corrosion coating. This could cause the crankshaft position sensor to malfunction. If this condition occurs, the vehicle may display a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL), run roughly, misfire, or in some instances, stall. A stalling condition while driving at higher speeds may increase the risk of a crash.
    Remedy
Toyota is currently preparing the remedy for this condition. When the remedy becomes available, Toyota dealers will replace the crankshaft position sensor with a new one of an improved design at no cost to customers.

I used black rustoleum flexidip ( 4 coats - let dry approx 20-30 minutes between coats, also used a piece of cardboard to fan them for a minute or 2), then used flexidip clear gloss coat (3-4 coats let dry about 10 minutes in between while fanning for a few minutes). My initial thoughts were that they would look similar to the TRD Pro wheels in finish, but after it's all said and done, the finish is not nearly as deep black as i was hoping. I've seen a ton of complaints about using flexidip, or any "rubber dip" for that matter, but if you take your time and have patience, then it will look pretty good. Clearly it's not going to hold up off-road very well, but on the highways you'll be fine, plus if you get tired of it just pull it off, with a ton of elbow grease of course.
