So here you go. Got it installed. I will say this is some very basic fabrication. Not polished, not refined, and won't earn you any purty #EAF points. But they got function right and I think this awning is gonna be pretty sweet. Time will tell with some real world testing.

    And now for the reveal:

Few close ups of the basics.

Also really glad to have the bad ass InSain Fab universal mounts to help with this install. They made it that much easier.

    20170604_194626.jpg 20170604_194636.jpg
Notice in this picture ^^ that the awning cover is directly bolted to the supports. I had to drill holes through awning frame and then poke holes through the bag for the bolts. I then smeared RTV all over them as I bolted them to the supports to make them water proof. This I think is something they could really improve on by attaching a slide track on the back of the cover and frame from the factory.

So far just the mounting and attention to some fab details are all I can see could be improved on. But again, for the price I paid I don't mind doing a little extra work to insure good long term use. :)

Also got my full length Pelican case today. Thank you @coloradolife. Need to still get new foam for it and mount it to the roof rack. But at least I fit in the garage still. Well.....barely.

Really cool truck man, I like everything you've done.

Where'd you get the console, that's a nice and clean install too.

Luckily the first thing it would touch is a 1" rubber strip that is flexible. So there is some room still.

That console was ordered through Toytec from the manufacturer in AU. You can get them on Amazon as well. This model was for an FJ. So had to completely customize the mounting brackets and also contour the console itself to match the roof line better. Supposedly there is a Hilux model number that works much better then what I did but I have not confirmed that.

    Looks awesome, Eric.

Does the awning come with guy lines? Curious as to how it will hold up to wind.

Do you mind me asking how much the awning ran you? The only info i can find is their facebook and a brochure.

Under $300 bucks. Google the awning and it will bring up a US distributor James something. His site has prices.
