Hello i am new to this forum and i was interested in purchasing my first brand new 2017 tacoma and i was wondering if i was getting a good deal.
A dealer quoted me 37k OTD for a 2017 toyota tacoma trd sport 2 wheel drive with

    cargo bed light
    premium carpet mat set
    ball mount
    premium and tech package

Im located in New Orleans so my car tax is 9.75 i believe.

I don't know the prices in your area but I would think you could get a 4x4 plus the options you listed for that price. It will be close. The reason I mentioned 4x4 is because if in the future you sell or trade your truck it would be easier to do and you will get more money but if you just want 2 wd then I think thats a little high but I'm not a expert. In January I bought a TRD SPORT Double cab short bed 4x4 automatic and towing package for $34590.82 Out the door. No P and T. Our tax here in NC is 3%

In the market for a Taco. Looking SR5 V6 4x4 DCLB. Local Norcal dealer has one.MSRP $35522 They gave me internet price of $33,999 plus fees. $37,600 OTD with tow package all weather floor liners, and mudguards. Good deal? Havent tried the Costco price yet. That's probably next. Any idea if Costco pricing would be better?

That sounds bad to me. I got my TRD OR for 3-4k less than that. It was a 16 but they didn't go up *that* much

Bought a 2017 TRD Off Road double cab in quicksand with the Tow package, and technology upgrade for 34,000 in Huntsville, AL
The Owner of my company is best friends with the local Toyota Dealership Owner, and owed him a favor.

spent 4 months before that haggling for 35,500$ price with just the tow package. Once my boss found out he made a call and the next day I had my order placed.

one bad thing about that dealership is the finance manager was SUPER aggressive when it came to extended warranties. He would not approve the sale until i bought the Gap insurance and the 3 year additional warranty which racked up to another 3600$. I ended up walking out and the manager who was handling my purchase told the finance manager the situation. He was pissed off for the rest of the 10-15 minute paper signing ordeal, and would not even speak to my wife or me

The best part of those warranties is that you can cancel them for cash immediately.

Use that to your advantage when making the deal. "I'd really like to get the warranty but I can't afford it unless you come off the price another grand"

Warranties are high profit margin items. They'll jump at that deal. Sign the paperwork. A week later, when you get it in the mail, cancel it. They will prorate the week you "used"(so like $12 off) and refund your money. You'll get to keep the $1k off the truck

OTD price is useless to anybody else. TTL is different for everyone. OTD might be good for you, but shit for someone who lives in a state without sales tax.

You will NEVER know what the dealer actually paid for the truck. At the time of sale, the dealership didn't even know. They have to run their total sales, holdbacks, rebates, etc. Also, invoices prices is NOT what they actually paid for the truck. Dealerships won't know the final price of a vehicle sold until at least a few weeks after the month/quarter of sales cycle ends.

That's EXACTLY what my dealer tried. I had no qualms about telling him my interest rate. He offered to beat it by 1% IF i bought the warranty. I told him I'm not paying $3,000 for a warranty I won't need just to save 1% on a loan. The $3,000 is way more than the money I would save by reducing the interest rate. Plus, I would just buy with Troy Dietrich.

Montana. But they make up for it in registration fees. $200-400 depending on what county you live in for a new vehicle which declines over the years. On the flip side you can permanently register an 11+ year old vehicle.

Costco pricing on my TRD OR with the premium tech package was around 37.5, sticker itself was like 39.5 for a TRDOR DCSB. In Northern California if that helps.
