I don't like fishing since most of my life never caught anything outside a river in blue Ridge mtns.
But for yall up there fishing those reds is like a carnival side show.

 

fact ... and it is such awesome fun, followed by some awesome eating ... with some pretty hard work in between (processing/packaging).

 

Yea cleaning always sucks.
Like when I have my sights on a axis while I'm plum wore out, back tight, haven't slept good, Sunday night, nobody else around to help but would really help to eat it, all this goes thru my head and I say to myself..... fk it.

Hot dogs. Ketchup. Grill tonight. Or maybe not, don't think I can eat again until tomorrow after that lunch.

Chopped up the last of my grilled shrimp and scallops mixed in some cream cheese and warmed it up a little. Open faced toasted Kings Hawaiian sliders. And the last of the bacon in my house, time to make a run to the store tonight



Enough for 2 or 3 people but last day to eat the seafood and not going to throw any of it away. Not sure that type of thinking is good for a persons waistline though.

We gut them at the river, but keep whole fish (head and tail) together packed in ice; keeps the silt outta the meat. Then we spend a day filleting and packaging after we get back. The carcasses we throw into the Matanuska River here in town after.

hmmm...still overcast out, but not raining, lawn still damp ... I think a nap, followed by lunch, then maybe cut the grass.

 

Make mustard great again. Put a travel ban on ketchup on hotdogs.
