He has let in 8 goals in 2 games. That's a awful number when your playing for the cup. Problem is would Fleury actually step up? He has the expirence but he has also been known to choke hard.

I don't think Murray was terrible. He still got outplayed by Rinne, but the way the Pens are playing, I just don't know that MAF makes a difference here. Look at the Pens attempt to exit the zone. It is the worst hockey I've ever seen. The Preds seal up the wall and the Pens still somehow manage to throw it around the boards to the Preds pointman or they blindly throw it up the middle, right to a Pred player. They for sure have to somehow clean that up. But right now, Preds have really found a way to bog the Pens transition game down. Pens still had chances that they didn't cash in on, however. Rinne played a great game. Even with all of the bad turn-overs that was a game Pens could've won, if Rinne didn't play lights out. He did though. We will see what happens in Gm5. I doubt MAF starts but if he does, then so be it. I just want the Pens to win.

Side note, @OZ-T you think Quick sucks, so your opinion on anything goaltending is pure comedy for me.

Hmm interesting, good point. I swear on the draft simulation TSN had you could draft him. If a player waived his NTC/NMC can he then be draft eligible?

It is only a limited movement clause, not a NTC. And he can waive it and be eligible, as far as I have heard. That or the Pens can trade a player to Vegas, in general....say like Maata or Rust. And then I think that takes them off of the board for another player to be taken by Vegas (since you can only take 1 per team). I've heard that coming up a bunch as something the Pens may try to do.

I think Vegas already wants him, they need to figure out their goalie situation and its getting slim now with Bishop gone. I can see them adding MAF and then one of Grubauer or Pickard whoever is a better fit compared to who else is available on the roster. Probably Pickard because the avs are garbage lol

i think the biggest thing is he said 100 times he wants to be a starter, I dont know many teams that really need a starter and would take him. Maybe Philly? I think vegas is a lock for him

Ya you are right. I was just saying if, by chance, he doesn't want to go to Vegas (or is content to split duty here) then there are ways for the Pens to get around it. But ya, he can certainly waive his limited movement clause to go to Vegas, if he chooses. If he doesn't then not sure what exactly the Pens will do, but likely will be some type of bargain to give Vegas a good player or pick etc. The whole thing is very confusing.

So much this. I do know though that no more than a couple of team's are going to get sweet deals from Vegas.

Anaheim could use an upgrade ... what they have right now only works in the reg season. Vancouver is weak in net also ... actually they're weak all-around.:anonymous::anonymous:

Ya that is what I heard on the radio. It was about MAF but basically applies to every team. If you can swing something up front to Vegas and they get a player from you, then you don't get another player taken in the 'draft'...or something like that. It will be fun to see how it all shakes down, after the Cup is over. On XM they were also talking about something with the Kings sending Brown and a pick to Vegas, which would fall along the same lines.

I disagree on both, especially Gibson. I thought he was awesome all playoffs, honestly.

Miller probably won't still be in Vancouver but if he is, that is plenty. I thought Miller did a great job on a bad team.

Vancouver is stuck in a box until they can trade the Twins, which is obviously completely in the Twins hands.

I respectively disagree with your disagree. Gibson has had his shot, what ? ... three or four times now ? ..and on the division winning team, and what happens ? ...CHOKE ! Doesn't matter now anyway, ducks window (like Van's) is pretty much closed, Baldylocks era drawing to a close.

Same with the twins in the shit sandwich up north ! Miller, eh him or Flower would be about equal.

It's deals like taking on Brown though that Vegas will only be able to do once or twice. Between a few high priced players like MAF, the fact that Vegas will want one or two free agents, and the likelihood that Vegas won't spend to the cap in their first year leaves a Brown deal pretty undesirable. The only way I see one happening is if the return to Vegas is something they can't say no too.
