I would advise against it. You'll put a lot of wear on your CVs staying in 4wd.

Since we don't have manual hubs they stay spinning no matter what, just without torque on them?

I'm not sure Jeff's tw name, but his white tacoma had manual hubs I'd spool the front or install on of them Arc Light Lockers :welder:

yeah they spin, but why would you want them engaged all the time? it puts wear and risks breaking them, not on the boot, on the joint itself.

Only time I've ever used my elocker was on Iron Gap road with @TacoAlaMode :D that trail will give you all a run for your money. And the occasional mud hole just in case

It's not bad, just have to understand it.

I might do that when I get a front locker but that's damn far away.

I used it once when we went through that ditch Dave caught his diff on but I didn't need it in hindsight

I did for the mud holes. Last thing I want to do is sit in one of those things in the weird chance I get stuck

A wise old man once told me to leave something as a last resort if you get stuck

That could have been bad. Locked rear wheels in that situation could have caused you to slide when making that gradual corner. Off camber should be the only situation you would need it.

I only used it right at the very end when turning around

That's even worse. Never have your locker engaged when turning. That's how you break stuff.

Now, it doesn't make a huge difference when on dirt because your tire can slide to keep up with the other, but it's still risky.

The turn was already made, I'm literally talking about like 2 seconds over the ditch again going straight

Why would you turn your locker on at that point?

Wasn't sure if both tires were gonna be on the ground going back through the ditch
