different from my actual dates would have been easy for them. Different dates for their court required approval dates maybe. They were required to do certain parts of the process in a certain time frame and it would be easy for them to change dates to make it look like everything is good. No I am not one of those people that think the Goberment is watching me poop.:crapstorm::rofl:

That is not what I meant. I meant why would you assume the callcenter is not just that? Of course it will be a bunch of people completely unrelated to VW, or unrelated to cars for that matter, reading from a script in front of them. I am not sure what you expected.

Haha. I would have expected people who know what is going on with this situation. Maybe people that VW trained in a course or atleast had up to date information of the topic. It actually seemed like a call center for a lot of things and when you call they see VW on their screen so they have to flip the pages of the "call center manual" to the VW page. Just horrible process in my opinion all around.

lets just say I wasn't expecting a call center. More along the line of VW employees answering the phones like their help line

Yeah. That was the way it seemed.
I got my money and spent it on a cap for the Tacoma.

Just finished my sixth phone call to the claim center. Turned car in on March 1st, and evidently the loan got paid off on 3/6. At no point did anyone go, "hey, we should probably pay the owner of the car too." Up until this point, this whole process has been a breeze. I have been told to wait an additional 5-7 business days (twice since I first called them), that my claim had not been closed by the dealer and they had to contact the closing person there, there is a glitch in the system and finally this last call was "well tomorrow will be the 5th business day since any action was taken and the emails go out on Fridays." In an effort to remain civil, I am waiting until tomorrow to see if I receive anything. I have a sneaking suspicion that I won't be getting an email. This has become increasingly aggravating as the days go on. Especially knowing people personally that turned their car in well after I did and received payment in less than a week. I realize I'm not the only person they are dealing with, but this has gone on long enough. :frusty:

Turning mine in on Monday. Can't wait. It's been sitting for a month since I got my taco. Drove it yesterday to make sure it starts and will miss the punch that little tdi has. But sure love my Tacoma. Glad to get $31,500 back for the VW though. Drove it free for 3 years!

Ya, i drove mine free for 2 years as well. I was one of the people lost in the shuffle for 3 months, but My buy back was on a fri, and that monday money was in my account and a week later they paid off my loan. It was fun while it lasted. I'd never own another VW again, but thats because what they offer just doesn't fit my life. It was a fun car to drive, but expensive to maintain. Whatevs, I got my 4runner now so life rocks.

Not yet but I thought of that right before I clicked this alert. I think they just approved it correct? Haven't really research or follow it like I did on the buyback process

Sold my 2013 Golf back to VW for 24K. Bought my Taco for $5500.00, put about a grand into it fluids new bumpers, POR15 fluid film and the like. Banked the rest. Never looked back. Sure, I don't get 43 miles per gallon but nothing beats my truck for my needs.
