Thanks. Hoping to hear from others. I've got a fishing trip the 17th, and this one I can't cancel like my other I've done already.

My baby all installed. Just need two m8 bolts ( I think) to install the fuse panel/switch-pro mount in the engine compartment of the truck. Then I can wire up the led. Tested it out on the battery/negative connection, those heretic lights are bright for single row LEDS. Cannot wait to use it at night. Sadly with how far north I am, there is not much night time until after midnight and only for a few hours right now. :(

Also don't bother with the weather stripping, you will not notice you're missing it. I installed it without after I realized the woman at the parts counter failed to order all four pieces for the drip moulding. Grr, oh well saved myself 400 bucks and I have a line on the weather stripping with the sale of my OEM Roof rack.

Mind the canopy as well, that is being sold, won't support a RTT, let along a roof rack and two kayaks or anything like that. Shame as I like it, but it will not meet my needs and I never should have listened to the salesman. Lesson learned.

Also the power cord is only temporarily installed over the roof rack, I just plugged it in in a hurry to check it out and make sure it works.

    Steve

Anyone experienced rusting of their stainless carriage bolts and washers in using the tie downs? The actually eye nut tie down is brand new looking but bolts and washers are corroding/rusting. I'm not a materials science expert but I'm guessing it would have something to do with insufficient air flow in the rails?

I don't believe the carriage bolts and washers are SS....I recall testing my with a magnet and it stuck to them - meaning they are not SS. Only the Eye-Nut tie down is SS.

I bought stainless hardware separate from what Zach provided. I did just order some aluminum hardware though :)notsure:), so we'll see how that goes.

SS should not be rusting at all...are you 100% sure they are SS? Take a magnet to them. If they are indeed SS do you know what type of SS bolts you got? 304, 18-8, 316, or some 400 series? I suspect if they are rusting you have some type of 400 series and may want to get some in 316

    Thanks for the responses folks

So aluminum hardware should minimize this potential?

Definitely SS, though I'm not sure what grade ... local hardware store.

I ordered May 10th and emailed him Monday asking for and update and he said should be ready for shipping between the 9th through the 12th. I guess they are being done in batches.
