Now another question. Looking at the wiring diagram, I see that Switch 1 and Switch 2 are for use with air lockers which I do not have.

Therefore I assume the Isolation Switch is the one that goes in the dash to turn the compressor on and off. There are four wires. Which two do the powering on and off, and which two are for illuminating the switch?

 

You post the instructions and ask questions that are answered?? Yes isolation switch turns the compressor on, and sends power to the next switch inline, isolator>rear locker>front locker.

 

Yea my brain was going a mile a minute for the last part. Let me ask you this, Could I use the spod harness, clip the terminal ends off it and wire them directly into each relay? I dont think I'd ever get a front locker but for now what I could do is split the black wire so each it would go from one black on the spod harness to three black for each switch. This would allow each locker to have a relay and the compressor to have its own too. This would allow me to use the RTMR relay and simplify the installation, right?

 

Question regarding the wiring harness for the ARB twin compressor. What type of end do I use to connect to the battery? I should preface this with I know nothing about wiring. Sorry if it's a dumb question. Also, if I have to lengthen the wire to make it reach the battery what what I use to connect the original wire with the additional wire?

 

You need some good quality preferably water proof butt splices and for the battery a good ring terminal. You should be able to get them at advance or auto zone.

Now back to my question, which of the wires for the Isolation Switch are the two that actually turn the compressor ON? I don't care so much about the wires to illuminate the switch.

Blu-wht - to dash illumination does not turn on compressor
Red->purple and blk turn on the compressor relay

As shown in your diagram.

 

Just got mine mounted. Plumbing and wiring will have to wait til the weekend.

 

I just finished my OBA install. I may still get a tank, but for now I don't have one. I just ran a line straight to a quick connect and that's it. Having the SwitchPro made the installation super easy. Run the main power to my blue sea circuit breaker. Ground the unit in the cubby where the compressor is mounted. Connect the switch line power to a slot on the SwitchPro block and ground it nearby and I'm done! Here's some pics because I haven't seen anyone else do this location and with a SwitchPro. For connection to the SwitchPro, I just took the purple switch wire to power, the black to a ground, and taped off the green and yellow wires.





I will eventually change this mount location for the quick connect, but it was a perfectly sized hole on the frame and it will do for now.

okay someone save me som e$$ before I go off and buy a new hose thinking it's the issue.

I have my viair 300P mounted in my engine bay. It is hard wired to the battery and is operated by it's original switch. I only run it with the engine on.
Air comes out of the port on the side. Though when I hooked up my hose to air up my mountain bike, no air would come out. The auto deflator near the end was not compressed in.

Any ideas aside from a hose issue?

 

Do you have another hose you can try? (borrow and try?) If that works then it's a good indicator it's the hose; otherwise it's probably not.

If it's the hose, do you know if you have a plug or a leak? You can submerse the hose in a bucket of water while it's plugged into the compressor to see if you get bubbles. If you do, it's a leak. If it's a leak, it's probably pretty easy to fix (even eletrical tape might work in the short term). If it's a plug, you'll have to find where the plug is...

Does the hose have a one way valve? Is it turned around backwards? Can you blow through it? Pics?

This is the same hose it came with.

Before I wired it up on the truck, it worked just fine. So I'm not sure what happened.

 

The wiring won't make air not come out of the hose. Sounds like your hose ain't workin or you got something plumbed wrong
