    But the compact ability!
I'm drawn to the compact design that I can sleazily stow under the back seats

I might have to make my own wishlist for my mom lol got a bday coming up

Serial number is not required if you manufactured the gun yourself for your own personal use such as if you were to complete an 80% AR lower or build out an AK receiver from a plate kit. It only requires a serial number if you want to sell it.

So after making this post I went to the lgs and spoke with an employee. Spent about an hour looking at different guns. Liked the m&p 2.0 but decided on something totally different. Decided I just wanted a range you and got a Uberti 1873 Colt SAA Peacemaker replica in 45 colt.

Hoping to shoot it Sunday and will give a range report. Thank you everyone for the suggestions.

I have ZERO use for a 590 shockwave

Does anybody have a suggestion for a scope?

I will be putting it on a .308, shooting less than 500yards most of the time (if I have the opportunity to go further I'll try but as of now I don't have anyplace that long). It will be used for punching paper mostly with hopefully a couple hunting trips in the near future.

My budget is about $400 for a scope and rings, I know that really isn't much for a good piece of glass but its my first long range gun so I will upgrade later as I learn/improve. The less I spend on the scope, the more I can shoot!

This is the one I have on my .308 AR and I have been very happy with it so far.

I do have (IMO) an excellent suggestion on a scope for your setup. The Nikon M-308 4-16x42 w/BDC 800 reticle. It is specifically designed for 308's. It is set up to dope out to 800 yards, the glass is super clear, It comes with the scope mount for AR's, you get a free ARD flash hider if you use those, It is slightly more than your budget thou, but you shouldn't have to upgrade later. I own it and give it A+.
A benefit I didn't know about until I owned one was the radical lines that are black during the day turn a cream color in low light making them very easy to see, that was a welcomed bonus. The liked the fact that I could eith use the BDC in the radical or use the tactical turret for a more precise dial in or even longer yardage's,

Just bought my mom one of those pt111's for her birthday last week. I thought the trigger felt kinda cheap but the actual action of it wasn't too bad. Hard to not pick about a $200 gun

I have seen a lot of youtube folks say they didnt like the trigger, but after the first long pull the reset is super short and its all pretty light (in relation to a glock or shield imo) i do almost exclusively shoot da revolvers so trigger weight is not very relavent to me i suppose but i thought it was more than adequate
