So I painted my rims in black plastidip last summer and thought that it was a really great idea, and it really was! Unfortunately I damaged the coating a little bit with a road debris so I plan to repaint them for the next winter season.

The coolest thing about such coating is that you don't have to use a masking tape. So even when the paint lays on the tire sidewall or anywhere on the feder - it is fairly easy to remove (these pictures on how to remove plastidip from tires will show you how easy it is in real life).
As for the paint itself, you can use different brand as long as it's plastidip like resin coating.

They're all work in the same way. I used a cheap can of plastidip from walmart and it was pretty easy to put on.

So what is your thread title supposed to mean?

And whatever the 'influence' is, why would it be limited to Tacoma tires? Are they different that tires on other vehicles?

It's early. I'm confused. Help me out.
