No no no sorry if it seemed that way I was simply saying I like the comparison between 2 motors with both ends having valid points. I myself have done 2 motor swaps for customers on the 1gr do to 1 knocking and another needed a complete rebuild (lost compression on 4 cylinders). Personally I feel the 2uz blows the 1gr out of the water as far as reliability don't forget the 1 million mile tundra was a 4.7

2uz I can get for around 700 and 1gr is in high demand where I'm from so they are asking 1200

And that's the price for motor alone no ecu no harness and no trans

Lol, all the drive train components that you're so impressed with also go in the V6 Taco which if supercharged makes more power and torque than this early 4.7 so it had better hold up

But a supercharged 2uz vs a supercharged 1gr the 2uz will still make more power than the 1gr

    Yes! You gonna do it?

Since Toyota offered it from TRD on the same drive train components it should hold up no problem

If I can find a trd supercharger for the 2uz yes I'll do it. That would give me the excuse to pull the motor and build it along with the trans. And if you were wondering that is the reason I went with this NON vvti 2uz over the VVTI vision due to the hopes of finding a trd supercharger
