A lot of the storms missed the eastern side of the state, so I don't think there were many there.

 

At least 7 days here, thankfully we change a couple of days from Teacher workshops to student days.

AutoDesk gives us all of their software for free. I guess their goal is that kids who graduate will know AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, Maya, etc. and want to use those at their workplace instead of competing products.

I would think AutoCAD is the standard in that arena anyway with very little competition, but I expect for 3D designs SolidWorks might have more market share.

 

At Umass Dartmouth we had solidworks and ansys. When I started working here we used Thinkdesign 2008. The product pretty much no longer exists. Took some time buy my manager finally had decided on solidworks.....these damn licenses are not cheap.

 

Yeah, the list prices on the AutoDesk stuff are insane too!

Adobe does not give their software away to education (any more, we still have a ton of licenses for a CS5 suite that we ended up with for nothing or next to nothing years ago). We just paid quite a bit for a couple of Premiere licenses.
