That was my main objective when I went up the other wkend.
All the water flows are high and fast. I even ventured off the 80. Ended up trying to get to some of the back lakes off Bowman rd. Some still had snow drifts on them and didn't feel like winching myself through them.
Some Lakes over there are road side.

    Just a FYI.

Ya. I tried to get to Bowman when I was up there. Tried to get to Feeley too. Might be well into July or the beginning of August before the snow melts enough to drive over the hill from Bowman to Jackson Meadows Res.

I might drive around to check out Webber Lake now that it's public land. The Little Truckee must be flowing really well. I caught two very nice Rainbows (~15") out of there where it flows through Perazzo Meadows. Great scenery too. There's another little lake near Webber where I've done well I'll check out if there's time, and if Jackson Meadows Road is clear.

No matter what, it will be good to get out of town for a few days and enjoy the peace and quiet only beer and firearms can bring.

Truckee segment, Verdi segments are good. For fly fishing. Not sure about spinning

LOL... I usually have no problem TOFTT.

I couldn't see the end of it and it was a roller coaster shape. I knew better. Been there, done that.

I did blaze through 2 others before that where couple campers stopped and called it good. Same with a couple on Bowman rd. Winched through 1 of them.

Just you. IDK. Just messing with you.

From the freeway, snow has melted off the Signal peak hill. Very little on the opposite side now.

Donner summit area is now becoming patches.

Anyone heading up Friday morning from the South Bay? Might try and meet up with the group leaving from Bass Pro in Rocklin.

I'm driving up from Los Gatos (south bay), I should be able to meet up in Rocklin by 0900. I have no clue how to get to the campsite, never been to Eagle Lakes before.

Did you rip the boot or is it leaking from the band?

Looks like it tore at the band. For the record, these are very likely the original boots. With 144k miles, I'm guessing the angle after the lift was a little too much for them.

Regardless, fixing this is a little beyond the scope of my abilities at the moment.

I can reboot in less than 20 minutes now. Taking the axle takes a little more time. A lot easier with power tools. I would buy replacement boots and re-boot that axle

Duct tape and bailing wire won't work?

If it was another day, I might attempt it. I pulled my bumper off this morning to install a winch, which came with its own set of issues. I was wrapping things up when I noticed the grease all over the place. I just don't have enough gas in the tank to try.
