    MattyJans,
HAHAHAHAHA! I have basically modded everything I've owned. 4 Harleys, 4 Trucks, a SUV, countless Cars, Drones, you name it. It's what makes us and our things unique.

Funny thing is, I always tell the wife each time we get a new vehicle, "This time we won't have to do that because we bought it the way we wanted it" LOL.

She's as bad as me now! The Sport came with Toyo Open Country "too small/something5r17s" and she laughed saying get those sissy tire off of there ASAP. I figure I have until the winter to replace them. LOL

Thanks Man. Life's too short to be so serious all the time. That's what work is for. I'm judging by your sig pic and sig that I need to stay as far away from you as possible [making the cross symbol at you with the forefingers of both hands saying "Back Back!"]. LOL

Hey thanks Man. I will do that. I never really go off road but I do like all that other red neck stuff, you know, shootin' guns, bon fires, drinkin' beers........well, actually, I like fancy beers, and really not even those so much, I am more into those fruity girly umbrella drinks.......wow, I really have issues....... hehehehehe. Seriously though [he said with a Joker kinda smile] I'll be right over.

I've got the same tonneau cover. You're right, it's expensive, but it's well worth the money. You'll be glad you got it.

Cool, Tonneau Cover World gave me a Father Day discount so I got it for nearly 800 shipped. Still hurt compared to the soft version I was looking at. But I knew I didn't want a cap this time. They have their purpose and on a full size truck make the most sense for me (why I had one on my Tundra) but on the Tacoma, the height overall inside would be for me like trying to get a bear in a gopher hole. I also knew that I wanted as much versatility and security as possible. The Revolver X2 seem to hit all those points.

Any tips or pointers you can offer for the install while I wait? I saw that you can buy OEM rubber plugs for the gaps in the head rail, but as another member here stated, you can save about $57 bucks and go with a tube of black RTV instead and use the savings for something else (my preference would be some Mezcal LOL). I actually thought that it would be nice to someway remake the front brackets with holes instead of slots and use hand nuts instead of regular nuts to make it removable but if it rolls up enough that shouldn't be a issue either. I'm excited to put it on. I like the lower profile look.

The 303 UV Protectant Spray I ordered from Amazon was delivered today. I read that this was some of the best stuff out there for soft tonneaus. LOL. Ultimately I might buy some OEM cargo bed rails and mount them to the top of the bed rail and more cleats (oh, have two more of those coming from Amazon too), and then I can secure up to 400 lbs of cargo on top of the tonneau. I have one of those waterproof cargo bags I used with the rack on my 4R that would strap down nicely on top of the tonneau if all the cargo doesn't fit inside. It's mainly beach stuff so it's not very heavy.

So yea, any tips for the install woul;d be greatly appreciated. Seems pretty strait forward though. I think I have watched all the tube vids there are.... LOL

    Thanks Man,
    Rob

Heck Yea! It's amazing my wife has put up with me this long (since 83') and is a Saint for sure. But I am with ya, it is soooo much easier when it is their idea!

Hey, CONGRATS! on the new addition!

Install was super easy, probably took an hour (because I kept replaying chunks of the video, could have been faster). I just used everything that came in the box and didn't add anything like those rubber plugs you mentioned. I haven't had to get the extra 9in of bed space back from when it's rolled up, so I wouldn't need a "quick removal" set of nuts.....not sure anybody would really. Best part of this cover is that you still get to use the side rails. I guess you could add a 3rd rail against the cab for when the cover's rolled up, but I don't think it'd be that useful (unless you put mounted something there permanently)

    Good luck

    Thanks for the Welcome Man!

Yea I saw that thread but I figured it would just be a bunch of geezers complaining about things like medicare, leaky depends, and a whole bunch of walker and cane mounting mods, etc.... LOL, just kidding.
I'll have to come over and join and say "I found @Casper66 wondering around lost and confused as heck again and he led me here". HAHAHAHAHA
