    None so far
Anybody throw a turbo charge in a 2017 Tacoma? If so should we be worried about voiding any warrinties?

I can guarantee it will void the warranty. Why would Toyota warranty when you, or anyone else, implodes their engine by putting on a turbo that was made for a 2002 Honda civic

This is a philosophical question. Should you? I didn't worry about suspension warranty when I lifted it. Cause it looks awesome.

I'm not worried about your engine warranty if you turbo it because it's not my truck. However, I'm very curious to see how it goes because I think it requires two things I don't have.

    1. Money
    2. The balls to do that to a new truck

However, someone needs to do it, so get crackin!

Plenty of people have successfully turbocharged a 2.7l motor, but none that I've seen on a 3rd Gen. You can kiss any driveline warranty goodbye if you do.

I'm gonna go with this one.
Should I upgrade my front springs, or would the stock coils handle the added weight?

Would the 3.5L exhaust even spin the turbine wheel?

Maybe Ford might throw a Eco boost in their new Ranger.. IF there is a Raptorized ranger, Toyota will cede their leadership role in the market.

Nope. Few people buy the hot rod versions of either of these trucks. If anyone wants to dethrone Toyota in this market, they will have to have an all around better truck at a better price..... or at least convince everyone to believe those things.

I have seen plenty of 2017 Raptors in the SF bay area. Granted this is a different area with unique income ranges and culture. I see a lot of TRD pros too.

If something has a badass reputation, I bet the base models will be sold as well.

This is the how you take market leadership. Specs aren't important. A few upset customers aren't important. Everyone on Earth thinks Toyotas are reliable. That idea, cultivated over a few decades, can't be defeated by a few bad products or a couple upset customers.

I'm not saying that as a Fanboy. I'm saying that's how it works. I personally don't think Toyotas are as reliable as their legendary reputation. I think it's a combination of good engineering and owners who believe they will last longer if they take care of them, so therefore they do. And good maintenance makes any vehicle last longer. So the legend continues.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I live in an arear where money can be considered tight, I still see a lot of Raptors and 60k+ diesel trucks. This may have been true a while ago, but special models sell very well now and are not exclusively produced.

Find the percentage of Raptors vs. F150s and Pros v. Other Tacomas..... they won't be a big percentage. It'll help image, but it won't change the course.

    Exactly.
