    Yeah I did. They're silent now but only because I sprayed a whole can of PB Blaster on them.

    Only way a 2nd gen can possibly break a 63 pack is go into a ridiculous negative arch and at that point they'd bend first and you probably deserve it for running them like that.

    What kind of grease did you use? :confused: Just trying to figure out if we did something different that made mine not squeak.

    Shit happens. They are probably 20+ year old springs to begin with. Besides, a military wrap is like a gun, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. ;)

    Well, there's your problem. Should have used army grease. :rimshot::rofl::facepalm::bananadead:

    Seriously though, marine grease doesn't really tell me much. Moly-based? Lithium-based? Silicone-based? How thick was it? How well does it stick to the parts?
