Huh. On the surface they don't look any worse off than the ones I am replacing on the Taco. Just going to bigger wire.
I'm just heat shrinking around my crimps, now you got me thinking some silicone or dielectric grease in there before the crimp.

Nothing in the crimp, that will be an immediate resistance that will only get worse over time.
Use the heat shrink with the sealer inside it, its very similar to hot glue so you could maybe use that to seal ends and such.
