We had a Whole Foods in downtown San Jose that had a bar upstairs. You could grab a fresh, cold beer (or wine) from downstairs, then take it upstairs and order pizza. It actually wasn't a bad gig either.

 

Me too! Well almost, give me a month and a half

Toddy coffee is an extraction method using cold water instead of hot water. It is also called the “cold brew technique”. The information below is more of a How-To Cold Brew with steps. Read this for more in-depth information on the cold brew technique.

Overall, toddy coffee creates a flavorful concentrated coffee much less acidic than regular hot brewed coffee. On average, toddy coffee will be approx 60-70% less acidic due to how the grounds react and extract over a long period of time steeping in cold water versus a shot amount of steep time in hot water. Toddy tea can also be made in the same fashion. The final concentrate is then ‘cut’ with hot water to make drip coffee as strong or light as you like, or added to water and ice to make an extremely smooth tasting iced coffee."

 

My BIL does this at a grocery store in Lex. Now, my sister doesn't have to shop any more, but he comes home with a lot of shit they didn't need

My friend showed me this video the other day b/c he knows i'm working close to a Whole Foods and this is no joke. Its getting like this here in Austin at this Whole Foods location. I'm glad I can walk to it b/c I see people fight over parking spots like animals and to get through checkout lines faster. After watching this video I just tell myself when I see it "Its getting Real"

Also, the "$80 for 6 things" is bullsh!t. You can't walk out of there with one thing without at least sacrificing a kitten and promising your first born.

 

Same in Whole Foods hometown. I go to the knock-off "Central Market." Same shit, less $$.

 

We don't have Whole Foods in Corpus. Not even a central market, just HEB's. I kinda like it that way, less yuppies.

 

When I'm feeling fancy, I'll swing by Trader Joes. Otherwise, Winco is our go-to for fresh food. Whole Foods quality, Walmart prices!
