Huh? Are you trying to keep your cig adapter on when the trucks off or is it currently staying on when your trucks off?

Open relay for plug and make it closed permanently. Your choice in how this is done.

what @jmaack said. You could just run a new power cable straight off the battery with an inline fuse to the 12v adapter you wan to stay hot. I plan on doing something similar down the road once I am ready to do a dual battery setup to run constant power off of.

Installed inverter under driver's seat, direct wired to battery with inline 200A fuse on positive cable. Installed remote outlets and USB charger into rear console. The outlet panel has an on/off switch which turns the unit on whenever you need it.

Note: pics are mid install. Ground wire is not connected and I hadn't insulated the connections.

That seems like a good way of doing it.

The panel came with the inverter - that is how i chose the inverter. I wanted a remote panel that i could mount in the back of the console. I think i got it on Zoro or Jet or somewhere like that.

I have an auxiliary fuse and relay box under the hood. None of the circuits are switched. The power comes straight from the battery, but passes through a low-voltage disconnect. This gives me confidence if I leave something on, that I will still have power to start the truck. I put a dual usb power outlet in the console next to the cup holders. (I have a manual so the layout of the cup holders is a bit different than an auto.)

Fat Bob's lift kit, 30's on stock steelies, lunchbox locker in the rear, and a ton of other general mods and additions to help the utility of the truck for my particular uses.
When I get home I’ll upload a pic of my install. Ran 10ga to a fuse block behind the bench seat and then ran everything from that. The power stays on all the time.
