    I have a 7" extender to allow my bike rack to clear when folded up. It's a bike rack for mountain bikes, but I don't see why that setup won't work for a motorcycle!

    it looks like you replaced the main tube with a longer one. But now that I know its just an extension, I can look further into this for my application!
