ooooh I see now lol

 

I wanna rig out the tundra to do more exploration and expedition type of wheeling but not sure that's a good idea with the size of it and how well it would actually do off road

 

Man, I gotta tell you from some of the trails I have done that I would not want something the size of a Tundra... Great trucks but the Tacos are just perfect size wise.

 

Where all have you been? I've never actually explored long trails like in Colorado or anywhere

One trail that would set your mind. Black Bear Pass lol. In my short bed it was 3 point turns on some of the switch backs. My long bed buddy was more like 4-5 point turns. The width would be a factor too, some trails are rocks 2-3 inches on your left and 2000 foot drop 3 inches to your right. Now if you did not mind being limited on trials the power and extra cargo space would be great but if I am trekking 16hours to offroad I do not want my truck to be the limiting factor of what I can do. Last year we had some mud slides start covering Mineral heading down from Engineer. Scared me doing them in my truck and had to help a few families get by in their side by sides. Talk about pucker factor lol

 

I did engineers pass and the alpine loop last year with the wife. I wanted to do black bear pass, but she was too scared. Lol

 

It's definitely the most nerve wracking one that I have done up there. Tight tight lines and turns. Beautiful though!

Feels like its been a week long Monday.

 

I wish I could say that. We has a software test with a client starting in July and I feel like the weeks are flying by. Seriously, can time slow down so I can get everything done.

That's definitely the point that most people make when someone asks why trailers are a thing for off-roading. That, along with fact that you have more space for gear / food (if, say you have a family).

 

You'd be surprised what those things can do... someone literally just lifted theirs like 2", put A/Ts on and it made it up and over the techy part of Engineer pass last year (Ouray side).
