Haha you made me go look. They totally do and the price isn't bad at all. Maybe some day, I kinda wonder how it would act with one. Certainly a strong enough candidate engine wise but I have no idea how I would tune it because the 89-94 ECUs are all dumb as brix.

But I think after I bring the Taco back to life a turbo is in store for it, it will be my play vehicle and I'm moving to a desert climate.

Haha it does kind of look like the whole thing tapers to the top. I took off the roof basket because I thought it looked too pinched.

I am researching putting a Scion stereo in it so I can have Bluetooth and amp outputs without having a completely gaudy stereo.

I'm not pulling parts off of it, I'll still want a stereo in it after a body swap. Plus that stereo is kinda fugly, one of the reasons I originally bought it. The cruiser I'm trying to keep really lowkey. All I want in it is for all 8 speakers to sound decent and to have a single pre-out for a subwoofer which the Scion stock stereos come with because they were designed for "kid cars" and they knew the younger crowd would want a sub eventually. The Cruiser has a stock sub but it's worthless so I do intend to put a small amp and an 8" woofer in it.

    Stuff. Also things.
I know you're trying to keep the Cruiser fairly tame, but if you made a build thread for it here, I'd sub the shit outta that!

I'm just running the stock wheels, with 1 1/4" spidertrax spacers. My guess is they would rub on the frame if anything?

Had the parts laying around for a couple months now. Just jumped on it last night. Hood is absolutely badass! It buldges way up. Gives about a 5 inch rise over OEM hood. And it vents through the back of the hood too around windshield. It sits about 1/2 inch above the wiper cowl to let air flow through. More upward room in the engine bay for sure. Still a lot to go. Looks like a lot of little modding to get this conversion to fit. Hood and latch were an easy go. Hood is an R/T style fiberglass and is noticably lighter than OE. Going to flat black vinyl wrap it too.

Man, you gotta color-match that hood to the rest of the truck rather than black vinyl-wrap, IMO.

That truck is awesome though. If a first gen Tacoma f**ked the Batmobile this would be the offspring.

Last hood was OE carbon fiber wrapped with venting. Just going matte black this time. Tailgate had CF wrap too but going with a tiregate next month.
