    Personally I'd rather a SC for less total gain, but more gain lower.

    The 2016+ 4cylinder, is still the 2TR-FE correct?

    If so, turbo that beesh. If so, LC Engineering will have a 2TR turbo manifold ready soon. If so, buy an OZ boost turbo manifold if you don't want to wait for LCE.

    Slap on a BW EFR turbo, or a Garrett GTX28R turbo. Power through the whole range.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
    You can turbo an Atkinson cycle engine just fine. No need to "kill the Atkinson cycle."

    ...considering putting a 1inch larger tire on the truck had the dealer telling me it could void warranty you really think putting a turbo on it wouldn't?

    You're talking an engine not designed to take boost, suddenly being boosted.
    No one was done it, doubt anyone will.

    That's true. Tacoma was sloppy seconds to the Ranger and Ford assumed everyone would just buy an F150 and they could save money on building two different trucks, so they left the design alone, and ran it out. Their hubris burned them, and from the ashes rose the Tacoma.

    It will be interesting to see if Ford can just show back up after all these years with some flowers and see if they can get free buttsecks.

    They definitely could. It won't be the Raptor so much, it'll be if they build a better truck and provide more value to the customer...... really if they convince customers that it is so.

    Yeah turbo on our motor would be good awful. You know that throttle lag everybody hates on so much? The turbo lag STARTS with that, and gets worse because low compression, and modified Atkinson cycle robbing the cylinder of the compression it had to begin with. There's hardly any exhaust flow to spool a turbo, ESPECIALLY when you consider that the exhaust is being cooled in the header section of the engine block by coolant circulating through veins around the headers... There's no exhaust left to spool anything. You want boost and 2GRFKS, get a supercharger. Miller cycle would be the only way to go with our trucks. That or as others have said, ditch the quasi-atkinson cycle tuning and go back to a full on Otto cycle, and make a new intake manifold that doesn't have ribs in it to block two way air flow. Then you could turbo it, but all you end up with is a 4.0 with less displacement and better fuel injection and a turbo.

    A new bolt here, a new bolt there, a new bolt everywhere.
    No, never got mine turbo due to the lack of ECU programming support. I was going to have to give up certain features I didn't want to give up to make it work.

    I seriously doubt that... ecoboost has been a troubled engine, few have made it to even 200k lol
