I wish I could. My wife will be out of town for a couple of days that weekend and I'll have the little ones. I can't see myself driving 3 hours, wheeling 4 hours, and driving 3 more hours with a 3 year old and a 1 year old.

 

Very true and all the ibeprofin that you would need for your headache afterward. hahaha. j/k. Cool. Just let me know about Farmington. I should have my new tires by that trip too. So it will be a good excercise for them.

Ya Im going to but I just have to wait till I get into my new house. I have the money to do a 6in and 33's right now but it is all for my down payment for my house. Gotta deal with the main priorities 1st.

 

Ya but at the moment were staying with the inlaws so I don't have a house payment. Which is very nice, but, as soon as we get in the house I'll have to save a bit more to get what I need for the truck. And besides I just picked up a new'ish Jeep for my wife. And it needs some work also, so gotta get that runnin before my job takes my car away.

How big of a pain in the ass is painting your rims? I like the look of it but it seems like a hell of a lot of work just for looks. While I'm big on performance mods, I'm kinda lazy in the looks department. I haven't even washed my truck since about a month before the Puerco trip.

By the way, my rear 5100's came in the mail yesterday. My stock shocks were maxing out before the leaves were. More flex, baby!

Painting your rims isn't that hard acutually. I did mine last week and it takes about a day if you can get all four off at once.
What I did was clean them really well and then took simple green to ensure that there was no dirt on them. Then comes the sanding. I used 320 grit wet/dry sandpaper and just lightly sanded them everywhere that it would reach.
Then a couple light coats of primer and let dry. Then comes whatever color you want. Couple of light coats and your good to go.
Just make absolutly sure that you let them dry before you put them back on.
No real need to tape your tires, the oversprayed paint will just flake and crack off of the tire with use.

I didn't know you had a Sport. I thought it was an OR.

 

Wal mart was outta flat blk when I went. It is called Oil Rubbed Bronze in the satin finish. And now that they have some dirt and mud on top of them they look even more badass!!!.

And yes the sport it was a really good deal at the time.

 

I kinda like that color. Looks good. It brings the eye there. Now you need tires. They're expensive though and I know you're doing the down payment on the house. Half of all the money I have wrapped up in my truck was spent on the tires.

Ya that is gonna b the next expense. I think im gonna go with either the Duratracs, the Fierce M/T or the Procomp M/T's. I just gotta get something that will also be kinda quiet on the road cause it is also our travel vehicle. If anyone has any info on any of these or others please let me know.
