Really love the look of this and am considering it. Anybody haul both a RTT and kayaks at the same time with the long tall version?

 

I think voodoo should a group buy on the bed racks!!

I don't have any more pictures of this configuration, but I know a lot of people are doing it.

I pulled the trigger on a long bed tall rack a day ago or so. Is there any lead time on these?

I also see you are working on a new universal bed rack with a few nice improvements. Is that the future replacement for this one? Should I have waited?

 

We have a slight lead time on tall and long bed racks (because we sold out of parts for those). New parts coming Friday and we'll ship your rack right out.

The new rack is the premium level rack. The main point of it is that it has adjustable width, so it can fit any truck.

It's more expensive.

I think you'll be quite happy with the rack you purchased.

Very curious how the rear will sit on the bed rail on our trucks?

 

I have a 2009 tacoma with the long bed. I am really interested by your mid-height long bed rack.

But, one of my requirement, is to be able to transport a canoe. I have seen on your website that you are working on a ladder extension. How large is the ladder extension ?
The whitewater canoe I own is 34 ½” wider.

Will your ladder extension allow me to transport my canoe ?

Last question: What is the utility of the additional bed rack top bars you are selling ? WIll the bed rack not able to support the weight of a RTT without theses ?

The ladder extensions are 24" wide, inside. You may be able to set the canoe on them upside down, with the uprights inside the canoe.

The additional top bars aren't necessary. The rack can handle an RTT without them.

 

Not sure this will allow me to transport it.

It's a whitewater canoe, so I have knee straps in it, the front and back have rope cages where float bags are located. So, I am really not sure I will be able to put the extensions inside the canoe without damaging some parts of the canoe.

And, even if the extensions are going inside, by doing so, the canoe will be seated on top of the cab, but below this in the bed as the extensions will go inside rather than supporting the canoe at the same level the cab roof is...

So, the only way will be to have the ladder extensions, but with the tall bed rack, and not the nid-height, which is a shame, as the look of the mid-height is really nice and great.

Unless you think you will offer a larger ladder extensions in a near future ??

 

Unlikely. The ones we have will get the job done for 99% of our customers.

Can you turn the canoe on it's side and fit it between the uprights?

 

I will need to take measurements to make sure. The problem is that a canoe is not made to be strap with lots of force in this position...
No sure it will be good for the gas consumption ;-)

Last possible way of doing this: Do you sell a kit with a mid-height bed rack that could allow me to switch to the tall height and vice versa ?

 

To convert from tall to mid, or vice versa, you will need two new crossbars, and four new legs.

The conversion parts are about $300.
