What does your truck need? Close to streetable?

 

You mean you haven't bought the TRD pro grill to replace the cheese grater yet? Thought I was one of the last hold outs.

 

I ALSO work in IT for a school district. The town cutting my checks is the only reason that I could afford the Taco I bought a few weeks ago

 

Engineer here... mechanical to be specific. I don't really know what I do - I just hit things with a hammer and see if they ring.

 

I'm also an engineer of the civil flavor. I basically watch people build shit. Most days, I just feel like a babysitter for grown ups.

Late to the discussion. Fellow enginerd here. Started out as a geotech, now I design high voltage transmission lines( lattice towers, custom steel poles etc...)

 

Well, this 50+'er tells the engineering interns that we get each summer the following: 'Get your degree, enjoy school and make sure you're always the guy that mans the keg - most popular guy at the party. Then graduate and work for the federal goberment - something that has some danger that gets you retired in 20-25 years with benefits. THEN do what you want. Oh, BTW, don't get married...'

So far none have taken my advice. They'll be back in 15 years saying they should have listened...

 

If I only had an extra $100k laying around...
