Does anyone have the oem audio + system in the Tampa or Sarasota FL area that I could listen to? I would love to hear one before purchasing.

    Thanks!

No. Company in california. Consists of two tweeters, two 6x9s, two 6.5 coaxials and a sealed 8" sub. Powered by amp and dsp combo that goes under the seat. You do keep the entune head unit. Install is plug and play. Cost is $1500.

Any of us could easily get a "better" system at a car stereo shop, but the questions become about integration with whatever else you have in the vehicle. I have not fiddled with my Taco's JBL stereo YET (I plan to add a REAL sub), but my experience with a 2011 Mustang GT and a 2014 Subaru Outback (high level) is that CAUTION is in order when tampering with modern electronic systems. I changed out all speakers and added a 15' sub to the Mustang, and installing it all was easy. Wiring it was a NIGHTMARE that I do not wish to ever repeat repeat. In the Subaru, the stereo was integrated with the "Eyesight" collision avoidance system, and changing as much as a speaker messed up the whole system. I ended up having the dealer reset everything.

All of that said, computer wizardry (which I do not have) is the key. If you're able and willing to reset the computer, it is probably easy.

Send an email to OEMAudio Plus and see if they have any customers in your area that would be willing to demo their system. Honestly, it's really hard to portray quality sound over your home computer speakers. First hand experience is the best option.

I just installed mine a few weeks ago. And it's awesome. I used to be car audio installed from way back in the day. Stuff we did back then is way different on how things are done now. Yes, you can spend on name brand stuff to get that big brand name with those awesome specs. But if it's not tuned or if you don't have the correct equipment to tune your audio correctly, it will sound louder, but most likely the sounds quality wouldn't reach it's full potential.

Here is where OEMAudio Plus steps in. In there R&D, they analyze the cabin area with microphones and calculate the right sound, the right power and programs their sound processor to delivery the best sound specifically for our vehicles. I geek over this stuff, which is why I was so impressed with the sound after the install. At volume 30 (halfway on your OEM radio), its super loud, yet you can hear everything, the tiny sounds to the big sounds from all instruments that you really didn't noticed before.

Please take a listen at someones system, if you were local to me, I would be happy to demo my system. Everyone who has gotten a demo was really impressed and plan on making a purchased soon. I was able to demo it at a car show last weekend, is the only way so many people got to demo it.

    Good luck man!

Friend knows the people at OEM+ and they have the system in their Prius and FRS. They swear by it and say its a huge upgrade over stock.
