Well that's a useless scanner!! A Bluetooth reader and torque will give you all sorts of info and run you about $20.

Then it's not a scanner, it's just a money reducer.

Is it possibly the secondary smog pump issue seen on a few of the 2012s?

This was a present I think from my mother so I can't blame her for not knowing the quality.
    Do you have a link?

It could be just about anything that gets monitored on the truck. Any autoparts store will do it for free.

Just hop on Amazon and search Bluetooth obd2 reader. There's a bunch! Just pick one that works for you and that has good reviews.

My family get mad at me sometimes because I'm very specific about gifts. I hate to see someone who is thoughtful enough to get me something only to end up throwing it in the trash and buying the one I really wanted.

I have that scanner and it reads codes for me all the time, on my truck, friends' cars, etc.

    Press "Enter" or "Scroll"...

Sorry if I am stating the obvious and its actually broken.

I trust myself with a lot of stuff...but taking a power tool of any sort to my paint freaks me out lol. I'd rather shell out the $300 for a high quality job while I just sit back with a beer. Normal waxing I'll do, even clay, but I don't delve much further.

Thanks! I'm guessing whatever it is had to do with the shop that just put in my rear suspension, I'll take it over to them and make them scan it for free.
