I guess what bothers me the most is MAF had 1 bad game and he gets yanked. Murray in my opinion has 2 bad games and he gets to keep playing. I know Murray is the future goalie and all that jazz. I personally think that the team plays better when MAF is in the net at playoff time then they do for Murray.

ya they look like they do, but they already long made the decision to go with Murray so you know they will run him to the end, just like Anaheim did a few years back with Gibson vs Hiller

 

Fair point. And like I said before, a lot of fans and media are saying something similar. And even if that is true (I disagree but still), Murray's numbers are better.

People said something like that last year and Murray's numbers were better than any season in MAF's career. Ppl complained going into this year that Murray was the #1. He got hurt and MAF played well filling in. Murray came back and put up better numbers, again. So each time MAF has his time, he does well (he's a really good goalie), but Murray has been better. I don't know what else has to happen to prove that. No one is going to come in and blow MAF out of the water, because he's also really good. But when a 22 year old comes in and is already posting numbers better than MAF did in over 10 years, consistantly, then it is what it is. And I am a big MAF fan, so don't get me wrong.

I guess I feel badly for MAF cuz I watched him mature in the minors playing for the WBS Penguins. I have met him countless times and honestly you couldn't ask for a nicer athlete to talk to. I also feel badly that the Penguins are seemingly "writing him off" as a player especially playing the way he did in the first 2 rounds. After their new young stud Murray swooped in last year when MAF went down. When Murray screw up last playoffs they didn't yank him and put MAF back in . . . They rode the hot hand . . . IDK I'm bitter . . . . LOL

I hear you. I met him a few times. First time was at the Pens carnival when he was a rookie. Like you said, 1 of the greatest guys around. I bought his jersey at Mellon, at his 2nd home game, have 3 now. Even a huge framed pic of him in my living room. Always will be a huge fan of the guy, so I know where you are coming from.
