Before I bought this truck I had a 2010 Audi TTS. Hit 156 (governed) twice. This was not in a controlled env.:spy:

Nah, I'll still have plenty of time. Just another fun thing to do.

Fire extinguisher is one of those low key must haves... i've never used one wheeling, but saw an accident once where a truck caught on fire after a head on accident. Had two in the truck, ran out, someone else grabbed one, and we were able to keep the fire back while we got someone unconscious out of the passenger seat before EMS could arrive... was honestly the craziest thing that's ever happened to me. Couldn't put the fire out because it just kept burning but was able to get everyone out safely.

Exactly. I mean you never really know what's going to happen. A friend of mine had his car catch fire at the track and it burned for like 10 minutes before the track fire crew got their crap together and was attempting to put it out.

That's why we went to the Nuerburg Ring prepared: Convertible -> open roof -> started to rain right after we took off....

It poured like shit, no way anything would have caught on fire, we were soaked though......

Worst thing is, the sky was cloudless when we rolled up.....

Both @Toyboata and I have run hard trails and driven home, and continued to use our trucks to DD previously... I guess we both have tow rigs now though...

I feel like a lot of people would be very surprised. A set of sliders, good tires, and an experienced spotter will go a long way. It also helps to know how to do basic trail maintenance: replacing a CV, fixing a brake line, having a spare tire; stuff like that

Im getting quick at that. Probably can do it in less than half an hour on the trail....

I wish those things wouldn't be as fragile.... :bananadead::bananadead:

I had a 04 VR6 that was pretty fun before I bought this Taco. I had stage 2 tune, clutch & flywheel, and cold air intake. I believe my fastest in it was about 151mph  on I-20 west of Abilene somewhere's heading to do some GPS installs out in the oil fields. The fastest I have ever been in a car tho was about 157mph in my buddy's Audi S4. Boy was I stupid thinking back on that...

You talkin CVs? Yeah, OEM ones like Autozone ones are just so shit... if people don't have issues with them they're probably not wheeling hard enough

A CV looks daunting but it's honestly not bad. By the time I get out after breaking one, jack it up, swap it and tie everything back together I'm under 5 minutes with an electric impact, as long as that retaining C clip isn't being stubborn haha

Got a link? I might need to invest in one of those... hopefully I don't have CVs at all though soon... :anonymous:
