Installed the avs in channels a few weeks back and they work flawlessly!

    all tore up already
Havent done the weathertech ones for the tacoma but i have done both regular in channel and low profile in channel avs rain guards for the tacoma and weathertech on other cars. The quality cannot be compared. Weathertech > avs without question. My avs qork mostly and thats about all i can say about them. The edges are rough cut, the design isnt anything special, they are an off black shade, and my first 2 sets came damaged from flimsy packaging before being boxed for shipping. Had weathertech been out when i purchased mine i wouldnt have considered avs. Just put weathertechs on my moms car and seriously considered ordering a set for my truck

I got the AVS, there okay but if I do it again I'll get the weather techs . Much better quality than AVS .

I got AVS. Great price, and work awesome. MADE IN USA, also.

I just installed the AVS original (non channel fit) and I agree that there are some minor problems with the quality of some of the edges...seemed "rough cut" in a few areas.

What is the point of these things..? I can see them useful for a smoker that wants to let the smoke out before it kills his kids in the back seat, but what other problem/issue do these solve..?

Just asking... I really do not know why they exist.

    Windows cracked in rain.

Windows cracked in heat but not easily accessible to someone who wants to slide a coat hanger down your window and open the door.

    Aesthetics for some.

You can leave the windows down slightly on hot sunny days without the worry of rain wetting the seats. And it is not noticeable to misguided eyes that your windows are not fully closed.

When I got my Toyota in November I left the smallest opening on the drivers side window and snow got inside. It wasn't much but it bothered me.

These things also provide a little shade as well. Once you get used to them it's hard to remember life without them.

Plus it's nice to be able to have your window rolled down a bit when it's raining.

    They also look pretty cool.

Here's the "original AVS vent visors I just installed (not the "in channel" type). Hopefully I installed them correctly o_O

I have AVS on my 2nd gen. Had them on nearly every vehicle.

Zero weathertech experience. But I'm a cheap ass and Amazon Prime rules all

I got mine on Amazon as well. I did see them last week at advanced auto for double the Amazon price.

    To those with these visors:
Any increased wind noise? Do they add any shade inside the cab while driving?

I'm wanting to tint my front windows but these might be a cheaper (and legal) alternative.
