Don't try to put it here. It won't adhere for long. It lasted about 2 weeks but fell off on the first hot day.

No need to stick it on anywhere. Lots of room under the QI charger.

Mine has been there for about 3 weeks now... No problems, and we've had some pretty hot days in Houston; Mid-90's.

I have mine in the same place as well. It's been several weeks now, no issues. It's on there good.

On another note, I installed the updated chip a couple days ago. I already liked the original, but I like the new programming even better....

Ok so I installed it this morning. Somehow, it took me about an hour! I think the 2017 Limited's console must be attached more securely than the console in the 2016 SR or whatever that they showed in the install video o_O
And then, like an idiot I snapped the frikkin thing back on without ensuring that the end of the shift lever extended through the boot :annoyed:
At least the console came loose easier the SECOND TIME around
I only took a quick drive around the block with it to be sure it worked. I'll drive it more this afternoon and report back here again later :)

As a natural cynic and a diagnostic imaging engineer I questioned whether this device would live up to the hype. In short, it has made my truck a totally different vehicle. My Tacoma has a build date of 2/2017 and has all the latest TSB updates that are supposed to address the poor shifting and bogginess of the automatic. However even with "ECT" switched on or in "S" mode, my truck would still constantly hunt for gears. Living in western Colorado near the San Juan Range, my driving is highly variable, lots of in town, interstate driving with 5-10 mile inclines, steep narrow twisty mountain roads, etc. Before the Shift Sense I averaged 19.5 mpg, after installation I am at 19.2 mpg. The SLIGHT loss in fuel economy is well worth installing this device, in short this little black box kept me from trading the vehicle in. To top it off, DZ Custom has amazing customer support, 5 STARS!

You don't have it out and in site when you go to a dealer and are still under warranty.

    Life lessons.

What would cause them to question it then?

Seeing it plugged into the ODB2 port. I'm wondering if you unplugged it from
there would they still be able to discover it if they had to hook up and test
the vehicle being that it was still connected to the Sport Shift connector.

Well that is what I was getting at. Unplug it from the ODB2 port and hide the wires. You don't want them asking questions on something like that and them finding a way to blame it on possible future problems.

Exactly what I'm curious about. Easy to pull that and shove it up
there, not sure if the other connection would trigger something on
    a scan.

Just installed it in my work parking lot so I could test it on my commute home.

So far I like the improvement.

What are you all zip tieing this cord to? I didn't see anything obvious to attach it to

Anyone on the fence about buying it don't hesitate and buy it. I have mine installed for 3 days now and "WOW" is all I can say. My truck is lifted 2" with 265/75/16 BFG KO2. I felt the power lost from the lift and tires being E rated. After installing the SSP my truck now feel much more responsive and with the ECT on and at WOT when passing up cars on the highway it feels so much stronger (sportier) It's holding onto the gear longer. Driving around town is now much smoother and you are in the right gear at all time so it feel much more nimble. Prior to the SSP my truck reminded me a lot like my 87 4Runner with the 22RE motor (gutless) but dam reliable tho. Lol

Thank you to the OP for this product.
