The problem is this should've been the game where Pitt skates around with the cup. The way Pitt wilted on the road, this game just about guarantees a 7th for winner takes all.

I can't remember a home blowout series like this. At least not in recent memory. Can either of these teams/goalies show up when they aren't at home?

 

No .. and if Pitt can't lock it down OTR after this one, they deserve to lose it all @ home, which I predict will happen when you let the underdog keep hanging around.

It's clear who the better team is but you have to close it out, as the 1993 LA KINGS can attest.

Murray faced 24 shots with 24 saves. Both goalies for Nashville faced 18 total, with Rinne giving up 3 on 6 and Saros giving up 3 on 12.

Were you watching the same game ? Can you remember a single decent scoring chance that Nashville forced Murray to make anything other than a routine save on ?

 

I remember 0 goals going in and thats all we needed. You can debate the rest however you want. And obviously they still had that 'spark' they needed, even while sticking with their #1 goalie.
