You guys with caged beds for LT what size bypass do you guys typically run in the rear?

If I'm running 2.5 up front can I run a 3.5x14 in the rear?

    3.5?...

    I wouldn't use anything more than a 3.0....most use 2.5x16

Any reason why? Still trying to learn what shocks are required for what and what can and can't work

Was more so asking if you could combine both a 2.5 up front and a 3.5 in the rear.

Apologies on asking the same question twice
Tbi makes me kinda dumb sometimes

3.5 is a bit overkill, but if you were just handed one you could run it. You'd valve it pretty light to push all the oil.

Like stated above, 3.5 for the rear on a non race truck would be a waste of money IMO
You would have to valve it super light so it wouldn't ride stiff. The biggest benefit of a larger shock is so it doesn't overheat and fade when running deep whoops/rough terrian for long periods of time, which if you live in Kentucky I don't thing you will be doing

Yeah I got offered a killer deal and was just wondering if they would work. All of what you guys said makes sense. Sorry again for the repeat question. Is there any good online resource you guys like to use or reference when trying to figure out what shocks/bypass/bumps a truck needs and how to valve it?
I'd like to learn a bit more of the science behind this stuff so I can skip the need to ask retarded questions :p

Here's a couple places to read some basics - I'm sure there's more out there:

Snapped some pics yesterday for you. Looks like there's plenty more room with the Glassworks hood.

Nice! Thanks for the pics! So that second pic is through the hood scoop? That's plenty of clearance!

Yeah it's through the scoop, with the TRD style Glassworks hood it looks like you get plenty of extra clearance!
