Installed yesterday. I don't know if I have the cover too close to the bulkhead. It seems pretty straight. Did I screw up? There is just a decent size gap at the tail gate on the sides. I am going to do all the drainage stuff soon. Just waiting on some sealant.

Get some tailgate weather stripping for the sides and bottom of the tailgate, that helps too.

Looks pretty similar to mine. Attaching photos that show it and also that show the weather stripping. It rained a ton last night too.

Thanks! I try to do as much myself as I can and I nail it sometimes, and others it's a disaster. I was just hoping I nailed this. Looks similar. I have the tail gate seal, I will work on that after work. Thanks again.

The one downside is if you park at an angle uphill, the drain will do nothing as the water drains out the back of the channels, but it doesn't seem to get too wet when that happens and there are places it will drain out the back.

I actually just removed my MX4. I loved the cover but decided to go with a camper top so I can get my dogs out of the cab. It's a great cover and looks super nice not sticking up over the bed. I didn't do the drain tubes because I didn't want to cut into the bed but everything still stayed very dry with minimal water on the inside

I have the clear ones so you can see what is in the tubs without taking the lid of everyone in the truck bed. If you have smalls that you want to keep dry and will not draw moisture from getting hot and cold with the changing temps outside... get you some "Gamma Seals" and snap them on 5 gallon buckets. Work great also to keep your clothes + dry goods in on float trips.

Well I ordered a Bakflip but now am a little nervous cuz idk if the rails will cover the dumb holes the factory cuts out for the factory OEM Tonneau Cover. Has anyone removed the factory cover and installed a Bakflip? I'm really hoping the rail clear these holes

You will probably have to order new bed rail covers if the rubber seals won't cover the cut outs. (Or send the cover back) These are for the 5' bed.

Sending back sounds a little extreme. I would imagine with a little silicone and weather stripping I could get a little
more creative than $210 worth of stealer ship plastic

I would sell the factory cover and swap rails with the sale. It's a win win for buyer and seller.

Regardless I patched the holes with black silicone and it worked wonderfully. BakFlip is all installed and looks great

Starting to get pissed if. Thing leaks randomly. Anyone got ideas besides loading it with caulking?

Bead of RTV down the rails, and seal a few spots at the front around the pads you install onto the front. That's all I did and it barely leaks at all.
