The trail is a lot of fun and i know personally my sliders were put to use.I'd have to say it's about the half way point of the trail if not a bit more.

So we should hit that sense we are doing rattlesnake canyon to burns canyon all the way to pioneer town/ Baldwin lake correct?

I have no idea how it works. Any breakdowns on the suspension?

Best thing to do to learn about the suspension is really just read and read and read. A lot of complex stuff goes into making those trucks work good over 2-3 foot whoops

Could you drill out the stock mounting location then do a weld washer later if you ever wanted to go back to stock?

No too too familiar with the T4R setups

Fun little section on Burns. Roughly 1/2 mile past that is the turn off to Pioneer Town where by the way Pap's and Harriets Burger town is supposedly awesome. I just end up going when they're closed and never get invited from @Dangerousd1987 sinice he's a regular. Anyhow if you go left at the fork (oppo of pioneer) you'll run into another fork. Left is black diamond which doesnt mean much. Your rig is fine. More than fine to get up it. Right is the mellow way to cactus flats which either take you back to the burn trail head or big bear lake true (adjacent to Jacoby canyon). Everything mentioned is doable with your build. Nice and sleezy!

Thanks for the heads up greg! Not worried about my rig but about my buddy's. It's 2wd with front/rear bumpers but no sliders (didn't listen to me).

So are your directions from rattlesnake canyon direction?

Ex) I will hit this on burns canyon then .5 miles later hit the fork? Or opposite?

Edit: looking at my maps again it looks like you guys came from the big bear lake area.

My directions are from the beginning of Burns. I'm not sure that I've heard of rattlesnake canyon but it could be the same as that black diamond I mentioned above. If that's the cast I suggest if your pal is 2wd with something like a maxtrac lift, super beefy tires, and willing to bump over. My pal Dustin did it before in the above described rig and needed that hardware. If you have that book most people in so cal have I suggest just mapping the burns canyon and pioneer road trails together. You'll mash it all together and get a feel. If you have access to gpx i believe I might have a file for you

Yea I use gaia which will take the file if you've got it. Rattlesnake canyon starts in johnson valley from the 247 I believe and works its way up into big bear. From there we would hop onto burns canyon (2N02 on the east side) and take it west into the big bear area and end adjacent to Jacoby canyon. That would put us through that fun section I pictured earlier if I'm mapping this route out correctly

Ahhh. Yes, I see. From JV I know the grapevine canyon way but yes, that's not the way you're going. So yes, from where rattlesnake brings you back to pavement in Big Bear on the north east side you're gonna find your way onto hwy 38 towards Redlandsto 2n01 for burns. That will take you to the rocky section in the pic you posted of my truck. Shit gonna get more confusing if I tell you about 2n02 from Baldwin lake so ill leave that out

Cool. I believe rattlesnake canyon directly meets up with 2N02 so I was going to take that all the way East (back towards BB lake) and have it spit me out adjacent next to the Jacoby canyon entrance/exit on the 18. That should also let me hit the rock section you posted
