Same. Just got my daughters computer running last night. Did a quick sake down qp match together and other than getting her mouse sensitivity dialed in she is ready to go. I got to say playing that first game grouped with my kid was pretty cool.

She is using an old non-mechanical keyboard. Her mouse is a decent razer that will at least let me set the dpi. I suppose i'm going to need to get her a keyboard soon. Any thoughts on what you like?

    I run this one

    https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Spectrum-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B01BBKYM3I (individual key RGB)

It's a great keyboard. Very responsive, plus you can barely hear it when I'm streaming. I like the volume control knob. It' hyuge and easy to adjust. It's got a lot of cool color options and effects. And you can even program certain color layouts for various games. Plus, you don't get light spill from under the keys like with the cheaper board.

It's actually on sale right now from $150 to $107. I may actually pick one up for the office.

I saw this and cried a little. My computer's CPU has been overheating as of a few days ago and I'm probably going to miss the whole thing.

CPU, not GPU. Got a GTX 1070 and It's running fine. My gf re-applied thermal paste to the liquid cooler while I was at work and it was still over heating. Gonna probably buy a new cooler today and see if that fixes it. Just hope the CPU isn't damaged, It's not even a half a year old and it was a pricey i7.

    He said CPU, not GPU.

If your CPU just randomly starts overheating, check a few things:

    1. Make sure the CPU heat sink isn't caked in dust. Also check the fan, as dust build up will slow the fan speeds down.
    2. Pull the CPU cooler, clean the CPU cooler's point of contact with the CPU, as well as the back of the CPU with a microfiber cloth dampened with alcohol. Then re-apply a pea-sized dot of thermal paste (you can buy it at almost anywhere that sells computer parts).
    3. Sometimes just taking off the side of your case will let you keep the CPU cool enough to function, but it's a very temporary fix.

Yeah the inside of my case is pretty dust free. The radiator for the liquid cooler is on top and I have it pushing air out, I've read online people having the radiator as intake and exhaust / that it barely makes a few degrees difference either way. Regardless the air isn't even warm, so I'm thinking It's just the pump died on the cooler itself...didn't get time to do anything after I got home from work, gf had work and wanted me to drop her off / pick up some stuff for next weeks camp.

I bet you're exactly right. Sounds like a pump failure. Did your CPU come with a stock cooler? If so, you can use that as a temporary fix to get you through the weekend. Also for some reason I was thinking most liquid CPU coolers came with monitoring software you can install to check diagnostic info. Maybe it'll show you if the pump is functioning?
