I messaged the "vendor" direct and asked for pricing...his response " please DM for pricing". So I sat and thought....this is a DM wtf....so I asked about whether he meant text or email....that group buy is a fucking cluster fuck.

 

Yeah, I've been reading it, it is certainly a weird one. At the same time though I am curious about the discount.

 

Watch out for paying someone else besides the vendor. I read that it was like the mahalotaco gb.

Also, if that was a response to me, i would have said/thought this is a DM. Youre dumb. And then got out and wait for a different one where they are competent

Agreed man, that GB ended before you got here @Superman910, but the issue was the money went to the TW member instead of the vendor directly. It might of been revealed, but things got pretty weird fast when things weren't adding up with thousands of money given to the guy which took months for things to get sorted and for everyone to get their snorkels.

 

USAA and penfed baby...I can dispute anything, try and commit fraud...

 

Still man, if it seems sketch and the vendor themselves arnt involved and supporting it then I would bounce on that. It seems to me the sketchy ones are where most of the info isn't solidified up front.

 

Yeah I heard about this one. I creeped the forum's for info over the years..never really joined.

The GB apparently the guys company is doing the invoicing. Couple people vouched for him.

 

I'm trying to refrain from getting that molle panel for the rear seats. Anyone recommend soundproofing for that area behind the rear seats?

 

That is available on pretty much all banks/cards/etc, but not worth the headache IMO.

 

Well then you saw how bad that hate train became. I would see what JT can do for you, for the GBs in the past I don't think people got much of a discount on King stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if JT can get you a competitive rate.

 

I know it's available on any card. With USAA it's 1 phone call and your done. Back in the day BoA was a fucking nightmare to dispute.

I think behind the rear seats is a key place for the double cabs. I might have some leftover sound proofing stuff after i do my doors, if you want it

 

Cool, let me know. I'd rather have the molle panel since I can't mount my rifles in the current setup.

 

What @Coot83 said! I would pm or call JT. I called and ordered my UCA and Kings. They have been helpful since day one! If set on kings just get them through a dealer.

Trust I'm not going to just give someone my money without some research. I commented, talked to op and vendor, we can all agree it's sketchy. I already sent out to wheelers, dsm, headstrong and other online places for prices. Appreciate the looking out...my only point was that for a purchase like this, I do visa transaction and not so much PayPal because I have increased protection. Yes it can be a pain, but I know I'm covered if I am boneheaded enough to get screwed by a vendor
