It's funny you say that, I searched for those yesterday. They're still pretty big and suck on gas. I bought a new 2006 Tundra 4.0 RWD, excellent truck, should have never traded for the 2010. I paid about 19K for the 06, taxes and all. But, I wanted 4x4.

That's were we store them here. I'm not a dog fan. Had a 93 Dakota 318 long bed.

Ferd F150 Ecoboost can be had for about the cost of a loaded Tacoma TRD. Lots of power! Gas mileage about as good as Tacoma!

What's the priority; size, power or fuel efficiency in a package that the wife likes to drive?

Husband wants Beastmode. Wife wants Rav4.

    Conclusion? Ridgeline.

My father has a 2011 Basic Tundra for towing the horse trailer, dump trailer, hay, etc.. and loves it. He does not drive very far in his truck, maybe ~5000mi a year. Very capable vs hauling and towing vs. the Tacoma. If I was not so hard nosed wanting a Tacoma MT, I would have and probably and should have looked at a used Tundra. Very nice truck. Also, as mentioned on here many a time, I am very please with my Taco and highly recommend it.

Power doesn't matter. MPG doesn't matter to her. Her priority is something that looks good, can seat 4, and easy to get out of, easy to see out of, easy to drive.

This is her car bought new in 06, 52000 miles.

One thing you won't like with the Tacoma: no height adjustable seats, hard to see out of... especially the TRD Sport with that ginormous humpback whale faux hood scoop!

I'm sorry, I'm going to be nice since I'm new, it doesn't appeal to me. Looks like a Civic that got clipped in the rear. Honda has dropped considerably in quality, and that's coming from a Honda fan.

What does your wife think, that's what matters. Trust me, have her drive both the Taco and the Honda, you might be surprised.

Yes, I don't like the looks of a Ridgeline and I'm not going to get it. I'm sure it's a good truck, I know the 1st gen were excellent.

Have you researched the initial quality scores on the Third Gen Tacoma?
