We are limited on size at our rental, next year when I buy a home, I will be building a smoker when I have some more room to play.

That's what the 'ol interwebz is saying but nice to hear that from others that aren't doing reviews for ad clicks.

    You'll know for sure tomorrow!

I did batch label creation. When I typed in the notes for each label, it wouldn't save for some reason, so everyone got blank notifications. I didn't even attempt notes on the second batch.

You can't beat the quality of Weber, they really do have a good product.

I used mine to smoke when we got 3" of rain. Held the temp overnight while the backyard flooded.

My wife hardly eats anything and my son is only 3 so I'd pretty much be smoking meat for myself. Should I be opting for the 14" vs the 18" or 22"?

I've got the 14" I can comfortably fit 6 racks of ribs on it.

18 should work. Unless you want to plan for the future. Then get a 22" and have him on the football/power lifting team.

I think you should look at the 18" at least. It is sometime less about how many pounds you can put on and more about how big of a single cut you can put on.

My keg smoker has a 14" rack and I can squeeze a baby brisket on, but it's close. Full racks of ribs have to be halved. @Martyinco mentioned having the small one, so he may have better advice on getting the most out of the space than I do.

Weber Genesis grill, Weber kettle and WSM. Took me years I tried the rest and finally went with Weber for everything.

Lot of 3rd party options for them too. And of course you can "Mod" them. One of the first thing I got my WSM was a silicone jacket for cold weather smoking. Not a ceramic cooker by any stretch of the imagination but helps a lot.

I went through that drill too, basically cook for one sometimes 2. And after doing tons of research went with the 18" and think that was the best move.

And you will want to invest in a good food vacuum sealer.

Thanks guys! I'll opt for the largest since there doesn't seem to be any downside (maybe uses more charcoal?) to going bigger.
